Hitmen - Core Percussion

Aims
Mission Percussion Musical Education Project for Key Stage 1 & Key Stage 2.
Targeting core musical skills implicit in the National Curriculum.
Through interactive concerts and workshops pupils will enjoy a fun filled experience.
Teachers will gain methodology in the usage of classroom percussion

Access
There are two basic Educational packages:

Strike
A single visit consisting of a sharing concert with or without workshop.

Bang On!
The main thrust of this project is compositional, focusing on instruments made by the children guided by the Hitmen. Bang on comprises two interactive concerts interspersed with solo visits from a Hitman who will work with the children, helping them to interpret their own ideas and music.
This will necessitate at least two performance workshops by the Hitmen, interspersed by visits from a member of the Hitmen - working with the children to compose and interpret their pieces and is expected to produce project work during half a term.

1. Introductory Performance
2. Working with children to help identify skills needed to create their own music.
3. Children sharing work with others, analysis and possible improvements to facilitate interpretation
4. Final performance by the both children and the Hitmen. Mission Percussion reviews
